Healing Through Movement
Jon Goudreault has spent more than three decades serving his community as a firefighter in Chicopee, Massachusetts, including 20 years at the rank of Captain. Throughout his career and life, Jon has led in high pressure environments, supported his team through critical incidents, and dedicated himself to protecting others.
Jon is also a member of the Massachusetts State Hazardous Materials Team. His background includes experience in law enforcement, corrections, EMT-B services, and mental health support.
A strong moral compass led Jon into a career of public service following his graduation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1994. His journey into stress management began through collegiate athletics as a rugby player and eventually evolved into a deeper exploration of yoga and wellness.
Stress management became deeply personal when Jon’s son was diagnosed with a serious brain condition and underwent surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. During that time, Jon found himself searching for new tools to manage stress, anxiety, and the emotional weight that comes with change and uncertainty. What began as a way to cope both personally and professionally became a transformative practice. Yoga, breath work, and intentional movement gave Jon steadiness during one of the most challenging seasons of his life.
Jon deepened this path by completing a 500-hour Embody Yoga Teacher Training through Shraddha Yoga in Amherst, Massachusetts, expanding his knowledge of movement, breath, and the connection between physical and mental resilience.
As Jon prepares to retire from the fire service, he is turning his focus toward a new mission. Through MI Warrior’s Forge, he is committed to helping others build resilience from the inside out. His work is especially dedicated to first responders and veterans who carry the invisible weight of both personal and professional challenges.
MI Warrior’s Forge represents the culmination of Jon’s experiences, challenges, and renewed purpose.
“I am committed to being in service to others on the wellness front. You are not in this alone.”
